Homework Policy
Fourth Grade has opted to not assign nightly homework to the students; however any classwork that was not completed in the time given in class will become homework.
Students are encouraged to write upcoming tests, quizzes, homework, or projects in their agenda. There is a large calendar in the class that posts these dates for the students to reference. I cannot check these agendas daily though. If you do need to contact me, please send in a note, contact me through Dojo, or email me :)
Even though there isn't homework given, I do recommend students read 20-30 minutes nightly.

Students do have a optional reading log every month. They get it on the first day (or before) of the month and it's due at the end of the month. No grade will be given, but an incentive will be given to those that turn it in completed. There are more copies in the classroom if they misplace their's, I have also attached a digital copy below for you all to print at home if needed.

Book Challenge
Each Quarter students will set a goal for how many books they will read. In addition to the number of books, I will be challenging them to read different genres to expose them to all types of literature and informational texts. As the students finish reading a book, they will complete an online book review. Their peers will use these reviews for future book recommendations. Check out First Quarter's Book Challenge below :)
